Celebrate the return of ‘Jersey Shore’ with the funniest moments from theoriginal

Jersey Shore Reunion

Cue the grenade whistle – America’s favorite juicehead gorillas are back. The cast of MTV’s 2009-2012 reality smush – we mean smash – “Jersey Shore” is returning to TV on the E! docu-series “Road Trip Reunion.” It premieres this Sunday, August 20 at 9:30/ 8:30c so you better schedule T-shirt time accordingly.

All members of the G.F.F. (grenade free foundation – come on guys) will be present: Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio. They may be paler, thinner and more mature, but we still can’t wait to see these mothers hit Karma one last time. And yeah — Jen and Snooks are mothers now. There’s a bit of a situation, considering Ronnie, Vinny and Deena won’t be joining; but they’ll be there in spirit as the cast literally drives down memory lane.

With our favorite fist-pumpers coming back to our screens, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to look back at the funniest scenes from the original airing. What better way to hype everyone up than reminiscing on the days we actually enjoyed seeing orange people on our televisions? Here are some of the best moments you totally forgot about.

When Ronnie broke Sam’s glasses

Ronnie treated Sam pretty horribly. He cheated on her, verbally abused her, and threw all her belongings over the porch while she was still clinging onto them. But it was finding her broken glasses that finally put her over the edge. As Sammi Sweetheart sat on a pile of clothes where her bed used to be, the dramatic music and tears rolled in when she picked up her effing glasses. Editing perfection or not, this may have been reality TV’s best reaction moment in history.

Angelina and the articulate insults  <3 May they never be forgotten <3

Who could forget the self-proclaimed Kim Kardashian of Staten Island? It’s no secret that everyone pretty much hated Angelina, the most brief cast member. But what you may not remember are all the effed up – but amazing – insults that touched our hearts. Here lies a brief list of some of the ones nearest and dearest to us.

When Mike told Angelina, “Shut your mouth you dirty little hamster.”

And when Angelina told Mike, “You look like Popeye on crack.”

Or when Vinny told Angelina, “You’re more like the Rob Kardashian of Staten Island, you ugly bitch.”

Our favorite one is when Angelina told Mike, “Say please!” To which he replied, “You know what. Please hit the f–king treadmill. Please.”

And don’t forget the Snooki vs. Angelina fight when Ron hilariously commented, “Standing in one corner at 322 pounds, the Staten Island dump.” Speaking of, let’s roll that clip.

Toiletgate

Remember when the toilet was clogged for two weeks, and nobody did anything? And then the plumber found a wife beater. In the toilet.

The best duck phone conversation

People forget that the cast wasn’t allowed to have their phones during filming. But we’re so thankful for it. The duck phone started more fights, and probably knew more secrets than any one in the house.

One of our personal favorite duck phone moments is when Angelina was – surprise, surprise – in a fight with her roomates and Snooki decided to pick up the phone when one of her friends kept calling. He simply asked if Angelina was there and Snooki goes, “No. She, died,” and hangs up. He kept calling in a panic. “Angelina died?!’ This is why we love Snooki.

The duck phone was also a safe place for Ronnie’s mom to drunk call the house almost every night back in season 3.

And don’t forget the duck phone book, which was pretty much the houses’ booty call bible – and Ronnie’s personal paper trail of stupidity. (Remember when Sammi found his –not so– secret stash of numbers? Yikes.)

But the duck phone’s truly shining moment was when Pauly pretended to be the answering machine – and people actually fell for it.

The weridest – but also funniest – pranks

Pulling pranks was the cast’s favorite pastime, second only to the sacred “gym, tan, laundry.” When they weren’t at the Shore Store, they were setting up traps for each other. And there’s nothing we love more than a pissed off juicehead. Here are some of our favorites.

The time when Vinny stole Snooki’s favorite stuffed animal, “Crocodilly,” and hung it by the neck on the balcony.

When Mike sent Snooki and Deena’s cab to Times Square instead of the club.

Mike was once petrified of how bad his bed smelled after he sent a girl home. Little did he know, Snooki, Sammi, and Ronnie put a concoction of cheeses under his mattress and convinced him that he had an STD.

And of course, there was “Operation Inside Out,” when Vinny and Pauly swapped the outside furniture with the inside furniture.

Friggin’ Twilight

And finally, this is the most bizarre act the “Jersey Shore” kids ever put on – and it wasn’t even for their show. The only other production that had this much influence on 2010 teens was ‘The Twilight Saga.’ And who other than Jimmy Kimmel to have thought of a way to delightfully combine the two.
