‘Million Dollar Matchmaker’ Season 2 Hits the Jackpot

Million Dollar Matchmaker Season 2 Premiere

It’s no secret that Patti Stanger, aka the “Million Dollar Matchmaker”  is all about tough love. But this season, she’s got some hard shells to crack.

WE TV premieres the second season of the series on Friday, Aug. 4 at 10 p.m. and we’re kind of obsessing already. At the show’s premiere, held at The Whitby Hotel in New York City, Stanger gave us the scoop. This season, she rounded up her favorites from Bachelor Nation and the “Real Housewives” franchises — and then some.

Putting her matchmaking skills and bad-ass attitude to the test, Stanger is giving her love-sick elite clients a 5-day crash course on dating this season. Holding her millionaires hostage — at the up-scale Luxe Hotel in Bel Aire, of course — the love guru starts season two with Daniel Maguire and Vinny Ventiera from “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise,” respectively, as her first victims. Daniel is an egomaniac with sky high standards. And Vinny is a momma’s boy who’s in love with love. And yet somehow, these polar opposites find themselves wooing the same girl at one point in the show. But not to worry: Stanger’s zero bulls—t tolerance reminded them this was the Millionaire’s Club, and not “The Bachelorette.”

“My mingles are classy affairs,” she says. “I am not going to put up with bachelors c—k blocking each other. This ends now!” Oh Patti, we love you. We can’t wait to see who else is about to have their million dollar asses handed to them.

Stanger’s specialties go beyond cracking the love whip, however. At the season two premiere, she spilled some major tea, alongside the hilarious Michelle Collins.

The first bombshell dropped — which “Real Housewife” she refuses to match. Stanger reveals that the ‘Skinnygirl’ empress, Bethenny Frankel has come to her “crying and screaming” so many times, yet fails to listen to any advice! And despite once being close friends, Stanger calls Frankel a “mean girl” and says “mean people don’t deserve love.” Ouch!

Stanger and Collins also got hysterically candid on the dating world. They weighed in on the big Tinder, Bumble rivalry. While Michelle actually prefers neither dating app and swears that, “OkCupid is so in right now,” Patti’s more of a Bumble girl — but they both agree that Tinder is creepy AF.

“Bumble guys are cuter, but they’re lazy lions. Tinder guys are more agressive, but their pictures look like mugshots.” Patti jokes.

And of course, Collins managed to get us the ultimate tip for singles before the night ended, asking Stanger, “What’s your best advice for a comfortable 6?” — while embodying all of us out here struggling.

The matchmaker told us her “two-up, two-down” rule, and stressed the importance of staying in your lane. Whether you’re dating up, or dating down, you should be comfortable with who you’re seeing. Either way, it’s always best to “shape up and put on lipstick,” Stanger says.

What started as the season two premiere event ended as a jaw-dropping gossip sesh; which is why we love Patti Stanger. Her refreshing honesty, daring humor, and boss ass b—tch presence was clear both on stage and on screen. She’s the real deal, and after watching the antics of episode one, it’s safe to say we can expect a crazy season ahead. And with Courtney Stodden closing it off — we’re sure it will be.
