Judges for Fox’s new music competition show, The Four, announced

Poppa Diddy Pop

TMZ reports that “The Four,” Fox’s upcoming music competition show, has slated some big names for what they hope will be a breakout series.

“The Four,” which will air sometime in January, will focus on hip-hop artists. According to Variety, four finalists are selected in the premiere episode and for the rest of the season, new contestants challenge the finalists each week to steal one of the four slots. A winner is chose in the finale. The show, which is produced by ITV Entertainment and Armoza Formats, will bring together four judges: a business mogul with music ties, a music producer, a record exec and a big time pop star.

So who, exactly, are the chose ones? Diddy will judge as the business mogul; DJ Khaled will take the place of the music producer; and Charlie Walk — President of Republic Records, and responsible for the likes of Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande and Halsey — is the record exec.

The pop star position has yet to be filled, but TMZ reports that FOX has narrowed it down to Fergie, Meghan Trainor and Bebe Rexha (who?).

Good thing, since we absolutely need more music competition shows as it is.
