An elephant and a dog may seem like an unlikely pair, but these two animals at the Myrtle Beach Safari in South Carolina are best friends.
Bubbles, a rescued elephant who was brought to the safari in 1983, met Bella the black Labrador in 2007. A contractor hired to build a pool for Bubbles abandoned his dog there. The bond between the two animals grew stronger through their shared love of swimming and now, they are almost inseparable.
Watch as Bella scurries down Bubbles’ trunk, splashes around her companion and snuggles up on the elephant’s arm as they rest in a field.
