The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Amy Winehouse doc "AMY" has just been released, and it's a doozy. A youthful Winehouse talks about how important it is for her to write about personal topics, before being asked about what she'll do if/when she hits the big time. Her answer, about how she thinks it would never work for her because she couldn't handle the fame, is a tragic premonition of what was to come in the singer's career.
The doc comes from director Asif Kapadia, who also directed "Senna," about the racing champion Ayrton Senna, who also tried tragically young, at 34. The Winehouse doc promises to tell her story "in her own words," and also probably make you think about the stresses and dangers of fame. Watch the full clip below, and try not to tear up at your desk.
