As 2013 comes to a close, let’s all acknowledge that it’s been a hell of a year for Kanye West’s mouth. Oh, the golden nuggets of pure crazy that have come pouring forth! From declarations of his own genius to even more dubious declarations of Kim Kardashian’s genius, to all the many and varied declarations of crazy in between (really, there are far too many to list), we’re not ashamed (well, a little ashamed) to admit that we’ve been hanging on every crazy word.
Because, despite being a megalomaniacal, bombastic, insane person of the highest order, there actually might be some form of genius hidden beneath all the layers of crazy. At the very least, nobody can say the man isn’t entertaining.
So, we were a little dismayed to hear that Kanye’s New Year’s resolution is to stop being so damn crazy. At a Toronto show on Dec. 23, Yeezy went on a 20+ minute rant that, he said, everyone should pay close attention to — because it might be his last for a long while. He’s done talking s— for awhile, says Yeezus.
Our reaction? Uh, yeah right. But we shall see. Happy New Year, ya’ll, and good luck with your own resolutions.
