Miley Cyrus joins the list of celebrities to throw support behind the Occupy Wall Street movement. The teen singer recently posted a remix of her song “Liberty Walk” on YouTube featuring footage from Occupy Wall Street. The beginning of the video displays the message, “This is dedicated to the thousands of people who are standing up for what they believe in.”
Cyrus, who recently turned 19, is an interesting cross-breed Occupy supporter. On one hand, she is most definitely richer than most people her age, and we’d venture to guess her income puts her in the top one percent of all earners.
On the other hand, Cyrus’ recent remarks about loving weed at her birthday party when presented with a Bob Marley cake, could paint her more of the stereotypical free-loving hippie protester type.
