Rihanna crushed the VMAs with four genre-spanning performances

From pop to dancehall to trap to ballad, 28-year-oldRihanna proved she’s a master of all in her four Video Music Awards performances Sunday night.

Ri-Riwas also awarded theMichael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, also known as the Lifetime Achievement Award, solidifying her place in history as an icon. As if the honor wasn’t great enough, lifelong friend Drake presented Rihanna with the award, saying “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old.”
