“Twilight” star Kristen Stewart has issued a statement apologizing for her actions just hours after rumors of an affair with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders, broke. “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” Stewart says in the statement, according to People magazine. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
Stewart has been dating “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson for three years. Photos of the 22-year-old actress and Sanders, 41, made the cover of Us Weekly, with numerous outlets reporting on a tryst between the two last week. Sanders, who has two children with his wife, model Liberty Ross, also issued a statement, telling Reuters, “I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”
More rumors of secret same-sex relations are plaguing John Travolta. Joan Edwards, Travolta’s former personal secretary, tells the National Enquirer that the actor carried on a six-year sexual relationship with Doug Gotterba, who worked as a pilot for Travolta. “I did everything for him, including taking care of his personal and professional schedules. Of course I knew he was gay. It never bothered me,” Edwards says. “Doug is a wonderful guy and we are still good friends. He told me that John was gay and they had a sexual relationship.” While not quoted in the story, Gotterba did confirm the allegations. Travolta’s reps have not commented on the story.
Carly Rae Jepsen has reportedly reached out to police after having nude photos of herself stolen from her computer, according to TMZ. The “Call Me Maybe” singer’s reps apparently received a tip about the hacking back in March and immediately reached out to Vancouver police, who are investigating. Police officials confirm to the site that an investigation is underway “in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen.” The singer’s reps did not respond to a request for comment.
Cast-members of the hit sitcom “Modern Family” have filed a lawsuit against 20th Century Fox TV to void their contracts after tense negotiations for the show’s fourth season broke down, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Actors Sofia Vergara, Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet initially filed the lawsuit, while co-star Ed O’Neill added his name as a plaintiff as a show of solidarity. The actors have already rejected an offer from the studio of $150,000 per episode for season four, with increases each year leading to $325,000 should the show reach season nine. The actors are reportedly looking for double that. The dispute has already delayed work on the new season, with a script-reading session that was scheduled for earlier this week.
Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger have been dating happily for six years, but their relationship got off to a bumpy start, the “Fringe” star tells Us Weekly. “Our first date was a miserable one. I took her to an Italian restaurant, and there was some flower that was blooming. She was allergic to it so she sniffled and sneezed the entire time,” Jackson remembers. “And when I get nervous, you might have noticed I talk a lot. So I just chewed her ear off for an hour and a half. It was amazing. I’m surprised she ever called back.”
The dispute between members of the Jackson family over the location of matriarch Katherine Jackson apparently came to a head this week with an altercation between family members on the grounds of their Calabasas, Calif., estate, according to TMZ. Janet, Jermaine and Randy Jackson stormed the house to confront the children of the late Michael Jackson — Prince, Paris and Blanket, leading to cursing and blows. The adults then reportedly attempted to coerce the kids into going to Arizona — where their legal guardian, Katherine, is resting — against their will. The ongoing troubles have prompted lawyers for Michael’s estate to write an open letter expressing their concern. “We are concerned that we do what we can to protect them from undue influences, bullying, greed and other unfortunate circumstances,” executors John Branca and John McClain say in the letter. Meanwhile, Paris Jackson took to Instagram to refute claims of a fight, posting, “Dear TMZ, no one slapped anyone, and I did not cuss Janet out.”
