OK, Joan Rivers fans, this one’s for you. Melissa Rivers shares intimate stories from her childhood, teen and adult years in this book of Joanisms. It provides a real look at the touching (albiet, slightly odd) mother-daughter relationship the two shared. As true Joan fans know, Joan knew no boundaries, and that included her involvement in her daughter’s life. It also lifts the curtain to other aspects of Joan’s life, such as the incredible hard work it took for her to become a household name, and her obsession with plastic surgery.
In the end, it allows readers to remember Joan the way she would want to be remembered: laughing all the way through.
