In the Bowery, this Bavarian restaurant/brewery will start the celebrations at 8 p.m. Saturday with the premiere of master brewer Andreas Heidenreich’s Oktoberfest brew. Taste beer history when St. Bernardus comes to Clinton Hall. The brewery uses a yeast dating from 1838 in all of its beer production, and you can try two of their varieties on Sept. 23 beginning at 7 p.m.: Wit (white beer) and Abt 12 (abbey ale). The Financial District beer garden will switch gears to Oktoberfest on Sept. 30, with 20 German beers taking over the taps, along with a special menu and themed swag. 90 Washington St.
