In the Bowery, this Bavarian restaurant/brewery will start the celebrations at 8 p.m. Saturday with the premiere of master brewer Andreas Heidenreich’s Oktoberfest brew. German-born chef Martin Brock doesn’t love the classics too much to try them with a twist: In addition to the traditional housemade sausages, there’s a chicken-bacon-cheddar trifecta. Beer isn’t your thing? This Alphabet City cocktail bar crafts its own shandies and beer-infused cocktails. Try the pomelo-weizen: wheat beer, jalapeno-infused tequila, grapefruit juice, mint and basil, with chili salt on the rim and a bacon garnish. 116 Ave. C

Sam Adams KMF Grand Kru Tour

For the first time, Sam Adams is giving the rest of the country a taste of its limited-edition Grand Kru KMF. The Kosmic Mother Funk is no shy retirer: The dark Belgian ale forms the foundation of the entire Barrel Room Collection, with sweetness and spice (and flowers, too — beers can have a sensitive side!). Classics of Belgium Tap Takeover

Taste beer history when St. Bernardus comes to Clinton Hall. The brewery uses a yeast dating from 1838 in all of its beer production, and you can try two of their varieties on Sept. 23 beginning at 7 p.m.: Wit (white beer) and Abt 12 (abbey ale). The Financial District beer garden will switch gears to Oktoberfest on Sept. 30, with 20 German beers taking over the taps, along with a special menu and themed swag. 90 Washington St.
