Where to get the lodge experience

No need for a day on the slopes — hit these winterized spots for a taste of après-ski life right here in the city.

Haven Rooftop at the Sanctuary Hotel

132 W. 47th St.

The fully-enclosed rooftop garden has been dusted with snow for a French-Alps feel. Enjoy Candy Cane martinis and French-inspired dishes as DJs spin in the heated space. Every Thursday is Snowed In Thursday, with music, specialty drinks and shot-skis. (If you don't know what we're talking about, grab five friends and head to Haven to learn firsthand.)

Hudson Lodge at the Hudson Hotel

356 W. 58th St.

The flakes fall at 8 p.m. every night at this cozy rooftop, where guests can lounge on sheepskin throws and nibble on s'more grilled cheeses (cheddar, gruyere, Nutella, ricotta and maple syrup). Vintage sleds and a wooden bear add to the vibe.

Standard Hotel

848 Washington St.

After a day of skating at the hotel's rink, warm up with crepes, Belgian waffles and white hot chocolate.

510 W. 42nd St.

The whimsical decor at the straight-friendly space includes an enchanted forest and dancing reindeer. Order a drink from the "hot toddies & hot bodies" cocktail menu at the outdoor ice rink.

Conosur Rooftop at the Hotel Americano

518 W. 27th St.

This winter wonderland has sheepskin chairs, an alpine forest and, amazingly, a 98 degree pool. The Latin American-French fusion dinner menu boasts fondue plus the Bife de Chorizo, a strip steak and bone marrow dish topped with red chimichurri. Don't bother getting up -- poolside service is available.
