You have to kind of love the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards — it’s a chance for stars to get down, dirty and watch Adam Sandler finally win an award that isn’t a Razzie.
Mark Wahlberg was the host of Saturday’s shindig —he managed to go the entire night without getting slimed until the very end, thanks to comedian Kevin Hart as well as Wahlberg’s three kids. “I can’t believe my own kids turned on me,” he yelped after getting drenched.
Magician David Blaine slimed himself in a crazy trick that made him appear to lose his own head (and what came out was slime instead of blood). Austin Mahone and Cody Simpson both got slimed, as well as Pharrell Williams (tricked out in Sponge Bob Square Pants pajamas) and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting.
Robert Downey Jr. did not get hit—maybe because he won for best male buttkicker. “This is the highest honor yet bestowed on me. I’m grateful, humble, the whole deal,” the “Iron Man” star said. “You know I wasn’t always a buttkicker. In fact, life has kicked my proverbial butt countless times in many ways for many years, until I decided one day to start kicking back. Now look at me!”
