Born Juan Luis Londoño Arias in Medellin, Colombia, Maluma started recording music under his stage name at the age of 16 in 2010. His performing name is a combination of the first syllables from each of his immediate family members names: His mother Marlli, dad Luis and older sister Manuela.

Maluma gained notoriety in Latin America in 2016 with a bunch of hits including a song called ” “Chantaje” which was a duet with Shakira. Realizing that the combo of the two singers created some sort of sexy superweapon, the two teamed up again for this summer’s “Clandestino” which has been climbing the Latin Billboard charts.

His biggest hit to date, of course, is “Felices Los 4” with its video already having been viewed 1.3 BILLION times on YoutTube already. The video stars Maluma as the central character who is having an affair with a woman played by actress and model Natalia Barulich behind the back of her husband, played by “Fez” actor Wilmer Valderrama.

The song was such a smash success that Maluma teamed up with Latin Music legend Marc Anthony for a Salsa version of the song with an accompanying video that continues the story with the same actors. But this time, Valderrama’s husband character strikes up a romance with actress Priscilla Huggins.

After his performance last night, it seems like no one will be asking the question who is Maluma as the star completely lit up the camera every time he was on screen. You can watch his full performance below to see for yourself.
