Erie defeats Sudbury 7-4

SUDBURY, Ont. – Dane Fox scored three times as the Erie Otters snapped a 12-game losing streak with a 7-4 victory over the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Stephen Harper scored twice for the Otters (6-37-4), Jake Evans had a goal and two assists while Liam Maaskant added a single goal.

Nathan Pancel led the Wolves (24-17-4) offensively with two goals as Nicholas Baptiste and Josh McFadden scored the others.

Devin Williams made 36 saves for the win while Joel Vienneau allowed four goals on 23 shots before being pulled in the second period.

Johan Mattsson allowed two goals on 11 shots in relief.

Erie went 5 for 9 on the power play as Sudbury scored once on four opportunities with the man advantage.
