Cheryl Hickey has come to Vancouver to overcome her fear of sushi.
Hickey and fellow ET Canada co-host Rick Campanelli are in town all week filming the popular celebrity news show, which will include an on-air lesson in the art of sushi rolling.
“I want to overcome my fear of raw fish,” she said, adding her reluctance to try sushi is tempered by her eagerness to visit Granville Island.
“I haven’t been here since 2006,” Hickey said. “My husband grew up here for a little bit so this is a family trip … There’s a different energy here and I can appreciate that, being from a small town.”
Hickey said she and Campanelli have a busy week that kicks off today with an interview with Michael Bublé and Vancouver-born designer to the stars Dalia MacPhee.
Tomorrow Campanelli and Hickey will take a tour of Twilight’s hot spots.
They will also drop by the set of Jason Priestley’s new movie Goodnight For Justice, and Olympian Ashleigh McIvor will take Campanelli mountain biking.
