Everything you need to know about CollegeFest 2018

CollegeFest 2018

Whether you’re a freshman who’s just discovering the city or a senior searching for some sweet swag, CollegeFest 2018 is here to help now that back-to-school season has arrived. Here’s what you need to know about the annual fest ahead of its return to Boston this weekend.

What is CollegeFest?

Back for its 33rd year, CollegeFest is billed as the nation’s largest college marketing event, routinely drawing more than 10,000 students to Fenway Park each year for a day of music, photo opportunities, swag and more. From the Red Sox to Lyft, more than 70 notable brands will be on hand giving away freebies in order to connect with incoming college kids. CollegeFest has also expanded to other cities, having recently set up shop in Philadelphia earlier this month.

When is CollegeFest 2018?

The event will return to Fenway Park on Saturday, Sept. 22. The festivities will take place between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

How to get to CollegeFest 2018?

The entrance for fest will be located at Fenway Park’s Gate B, which is on the corner of Lansdowne Street and Ipswich Street.

While the venue is in walking distance from several area colleges, there are plenty of public transit options for those coming in from outside of the neighborhood. In order to get to the ballpark via the T, take the B, C or D trains on the Green Line to Kenmore. Fans heading to the festivities via the E train can transfer to the B, C or D at Copley before getting off at Kenmore.

The even also has a special promotion running with Lyft. Use the code COLLEGEFEST18 for $10 off a ride to the big bash.
