You’re still not dropping Deshaun Watson, Tom Brady, Matt Ryan or even Jared Goff right now because of their upside. Add in the fact that it may take a week or two for Wentz to get up to his MVP-level speed of last year, too, and it’s probably OK to hold off on adding him unless you’ve got a good amount of room on your bench. The best bang for your buck in daily fantasy is with Yahoo Sports.
We’re also not convinced that the Colts defense is horrible. They allowed just nine points to the Redskins on Sunday.
What is attractive about Wentz from a fantasy perspective is that he can also contribute in the rushing game. On 64 carries last season, he churned out 299 yards. In an October game against Washington last year, he had 63 yards rushing on eight carries alone.
That said, Doug Pederson and the Eagles staff will likely make Wentz cut back on the rushing attempts given how he got injured last season.
