Fantasy football: Latest news on injuries that could impact Week 3 (Andrew Luck, Terrance West, Jordan Howard)

As offensive production continues to meander at a slow pace through two weeks in the 2017 NFL season, mounting injuries — like those to Sam Bradford, Terrance West, Jordan Howard and Greg Olsen — are even more painful to fantasy teams.

As we pontificate on what roster moves to make, who to pick up, who to drop and who to start as the fantasy season rolls along, take a quick read on the most recent updates to key injuries after Week 2:

Andrew Luck, QB, Colts

No team is in more desperate need for a player to return from injury than the lowly Colts. Reports out of Indy don’t sound promising, as the recovering quarterback is still unable to make many of the kinds of throws he’ll need to be able to lead an offense and will require at least three or four more weeks to recooperate his strength and agility.

Sam Bradford, QB, Vikings

After an impressive debut to the season, Bradford will likely miss his second straight game in Week 3 as he appears to have a bone bruise in his knee.

Terrance West, RB, Ravens

The Ravens have been excellent so far this season and their run game, led by West and Javorius Allen, has been a main reason why (also, their defense). West is reportedly out with a day-to-day injury related to a soft-tissue issue. Details will come in the coming days but fantasy owners be sure to monitor the situation.

Greg Olsen, TE, Panthers

This one is quick and easy. The Carolina tight end broke his foot and will require surgery and will miss 6-to-8 weeks. If you have an IR spot stow him there, otherwise dump him.

Jordan Howard, RB, Bears

With just nine yards on seven carries in Week 2, one woudn’t be surprised to hear something is wrong with the Chicago tailback — and some news may be coming soon. He was reportedly seen with a sling on his arm after his team’s loss and many surmise it is a shoulder injury.

Randall Cobb, WR, Packers

With a shoulder injury, one of Aaron Rodgers’ favorite weapons may miss some time. Cobb is getting an MRI early this week to see if his recent injury is serious.

Jimmy Graham, TE, Seahawks

The Seahawks are not optimistic about the return of their big tight end in Week 3, as Graham’s sore ankle continues to be an issue.

Tyler Eifert, TE, Bengals

Banged up pretty bad already, the Cincy right end has back and knee issues and his Week 3 status is already in doubt.
