We’ve all loved and lost — otherwise, what’s the point of living? But the tokens of your broken heart probably live in a box at the back of your closet, or maybe you’re not the sentimental type and any memento goes right in the trash.

Instead of hiding the wreckage of lost love, the creators of the Museum of Broken Relationships decided to celebrate it. The museum, with locations in Los Angeles and Croatia, contains a trove of objects and stories crowdsourced from around the world, and for two days they’re bringing it to NYC.

“The EXhibition” will open as an outdoor pop-up on Flatiron Plaza from Sunday, July 16 (1-8 p.m.) to July 17 (11 a.m.- 7 p.m.) Admission is totally free, and maybe it’ll even be cathartic enough to skip a therapy session?

Browse a constantly growing collection of personal objects (a jar of pickles) and stories sure that mix those magical first moments of love and the bitterness of when it all fell apart. Whether they’re lessons you’ve already learned or a warning you won’t heed when the next Tinder date doesn’t turn out to be just a booty call, the museum is a reminder of our shared humanity — something we could all use.

Besides its two permanent locations, the museum’s traveling exhibit helps it grow at each new places through the submissions of those who come to it. If you’ve got something to get off your chest, send it out there with the hashtag #MessageMyEx to become part of the ever-changing installation.

“The Exhibition” arrives just before the premiere of Bravo’s new series “A Night With My Ex” (July 18, 10 p.m.), in which 10 former couples reunite for a night of, well, everything that happens when you get in the same room with someone you used to love, from awkward confessions to hook-ups.
