Final days to receive H1N1 vaccines at roving clinics

Tuesday is the last day Ottawa residents can get a H1N1 vaccine or a seasonal vaccine from one of the city’s roving clinics in 2009.

But while the clinics will cease after Tuesday, both vaccines are still available at many local doctors’ offices and community health care centres, Ottawa Public Health said Monday.

Public health said recent H1N1 flu virus activity has decreased in Ottawa, but that they expect the virus will be in the community in the foreseeable future. OPH continues to encourage all residents to get both the H1N1 and seasonal flu shots.

Monday’s clinics are at Ottawa City Hall and the Richmond Arena from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Le Patro Community Centre from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuesday’s clinics are held at city hall at 110 Laurier Ave. W. and the Jim Durrell Arena at 1265 Walkley Rd. from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m.
