Downtown Boston Business Improvement District

The cost of owning or renting in Downtown Boston, (the area including the Financial District, Downtown Crossing, Theater District, and Chinatown), gets higher and higher every year. Such is the cost of urban renewal and revitalization to the average person: not everyone can now afford to live in the new Downtown Boston.

But, then, homeowners and renters of all financial stripe demand more and more lavish digs with hotel-like amenities on tap. Prices are raised along with expectations of what a home should offer. Fitness centers, spas, club rooms, and every communal amenity hikes up the rent or selling price. Some amenities are add-on charges, too.

Despite being located in the heart of the city with shopping, fitness, and social spots a nice walk away, many are willing to pay more for a luxury experience, hence the rise in luxury-classified buildings. We takea look at what’s on offer to amenity-hungry downtown residents.
