Firefighters rescue kitten from Brooklyn house fire

Firefighters rescued a kitten from a Brooklyn house fire this afternoon, according to the New York Post.

The fire happened just before 10 a.m. today in the first floor of a home on 38th Street in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. An elderly couple who lived in the home with six cats was able to make it outside safely, but were concerned one of their three-week-old kittens was trapped inside.

A Brooklyn firefighter walked out with the terrified, tiny creature clutching to his vest.

The firefighter said the kitten was hiding in a corner of the room in the home, according to the Post. The other cats made it out safely.
