Sir Paul McCartney will be returning to Fenway Park this summer on the first U.S. stop of his new tour.
McCartney announced his return to “America’s most beloved ballpark” on Monday. He will play one show on July 9. The Red Sox will be in the middle of a West Coast trip that week.
The former Beatle played Fenway in 2009 and performed to huge, sold-out crowds.
His new tour is called “Out There.” He performs in various cities in Europe next month.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday through livenation.com or redsox.com. A special presale for American Express card members will take place Tuesday.
