Five assailants beat subway rider unconscious, NYPD says

Police are looking for five suspects who beat a man unconsciouswhile he was waiting for a subway train in Brooklyn.

The alleged assault happened around 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, when the suspects got into a verbal fight with a 43-year-old man at the Smith-9th Street station, police said.

The fight turned physical, and the suspects beat the man until he lost consciousnesson the F andG train platform, police said.

The man was taken to New YorkMethodist Hospital, and was later listed in stable condition.
