Flip off all the cops you want, you’re protected by the Constitution

Here’s some news that could help start your day off well, as of a court ruling earlier this month it is a federally protected right to flip off police officers.

Did your middle finger just tingle with happiness?

The decision comes after a New York man sued police officers after they pulled him over and arrested him after he drove past and flipped them off.

The officer claimed that he figured the man was crying for help, or trying to get his attention to an urgent matter.

That makes sense! We don’t blame him! Honest mistake! It’s totally an American custom to hail waiters, strangers, even police officers to an urgent matter by giving them the ol’ middle finger. Doesn’t everybody do that?

The court, not buying a word of the officer’s argument, declared in a published statement that the “ancient gesture of insult is not the basis for a reasonable suspicion of a traffic violation or impending criminal activity.”

So you heard the court, kids! Give all your birds away! Let them fly! Let them fly!
