A Florida mother of two was forced to be a sex slave after she was lured to New York City by a Brooklyn man she met on Instagram, New York Daily News reports.
The 23-year-old woman was threatened and forced to have sex with multiple men in hotel rooms for almost two weeks, sources told the News.
Kevon Attz, 28, allegedly wooed the woman in messages on Instagram and convinced her to come to New York. But soon after she arrived, the woman was locked in a hotel room and forced into prostitution.
According to the criminal complaint, Attz threatened to beat her, kill her or throw her in a river if she did not cooperate.
It all ended when Attz and a female accomplice brought the victim to an East Flatbush check cashing store to retrieve money that the victim’s mother had wired to her. The victim told the manager that she had been kidnapped, and the manager called police.
Attz was later arrested and charged with sex trafficking, promoting prostitution and unlawful imprisonment. He was being held on $450,000 bail at Rikers Island.
The young woman is reportedly a model with the Florida Modeling Network, according to the News.
