For the Pine Street Inn, a graduation

Those who have completed job training through thePine Street Inn shelter were honored in a graduation ceremony on Tuesday attended by Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker.

Pine Street Inn offers temporary and permanent housing as well as training in a number of fields to help Boston’s homeless community toward self-sustainability. Baker handed out diplomas to the “graduates” to honor them for the work they’ve done through the program.

“For many, this is the first celebration of an achievement they have had in their lifetime,” the organization said in a statement.
