New York City’s newest modern Russian restaurant, Ariana, is ready to kick off the summer outdoor party season, even if the weather is stiff waffling about it.
Head to Ariana on Friday at 7 p.m. for a suckling pig roast dinner, paired with the restaurant’s signature 29-Minute Vodka Punch (also free!). The whole hog, marinated for two days, will be stuffed with buckwheat and slow-roasted for five hours by executive chef Vitalii Kovalev, then served with a buckwheat, mushroom and onion sautee.
Make sure you have enough to handle the Punch, sparkling wine spiked with seasonal marinated flambéed fruits, vodka and fresh herbs. (The 29-Minute part of the name comes from the fact that it typically must be ordered that far in advance to allow time to caramelize the fruits.
