Where: North Face Union Square location (17th and Union Sq. W)
North Face’s Mountain Athletics class will get your butt in shape and ready to conquer whatever mountain (metaphorical or physical) you want in 2016. The workout is aimed to turn you into a winter workout maverick, so whether you want to strengthen your muscles for skiing or a brisk outdoor jog, you’ll leave a step closer to your goal. Time: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Where: Lincoln Square (1928 Broadway)
Start your Sunday off with a yoga class lead by one of Lululemon’s certified yogis. The class is for all levels, so if you are a newbie but are making 2016 the year you really get into it, don’t be intimidated. Plus, it’s the perfect place to show off the new workout gear you got for the holidays. No advance sign up is required, but as most free events go, this one gets crowded, so get there 15 minutes early to claim your spot.

Get your blood pumping with Athleta’s Martial Arts class, part of their free Fit + Love January series. Led by the very respected martial arts fighter and trainer Phoenix Carnevale, this class will seriously kick your butt and will give you a full body workout. Sign up here.
