PARIS (Reuters) – The famed Promenade des Anglais beachside walkway of the French Mediterranean city of Nice will close as part of weekend lockdown measures imposed to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi said on Facebook on Friday.
“We absolutely have to avoid huge crowd gatherings,” Estrosi said in his Facebook message.
