There’s no doubt that security will be tight during Pope Francis’ New York City visit, but just ahead of his arrival Thursday, a fake version of the holy figure was reportedly causing issues for police.

Madame Tussauds unveiled a wax figure of the pope today, parading it through Midtown Manhattan in the backseat of a white convertible, according to published reports.

The figure was apparently so life-like that it created a frenzy, Fox 5reported, with crowds gathering around it to take selfies, and people even posting on Twitter that they thought it was the real Pope Francis. Reports said that it took the museum four months to perfect the likeness.

The madness was so bad that it even caused traffic delays and sparked a police response, according to the Wall Street Journal.
