Even though it was snowy outside, these kids and puppies were all sunglasses and smiles Thursday.
A group of children between four and 14-years-old with vision problems met their potential future guide dogs yesterday at a special event for the launch of the second Annual Comic Vision fundraiser next week.
Natasha McDougald’s six-year-old daughter helped spur last year’s inaugural Comic Vision fundraiser that garnered $69,000 towards the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
“We just hope that this money will help prevent some of these children from going blind.” McDougald said.
The fundraiser on April 26 will feature popular comics including Mike MacDonald at Hotel Arts. For information, visit www.ffb.ca.
