Game’s best on tap for C’s in 2nd round

Beating Dwyane Wade was one thing.

Starting Saturday, the Celtics take on the NBA’s main event: LeBron James.

But is the best player on the planet going to be at his best for the second-round playoff series? That’s anybody’s guess.

James appears to be battling a right elbow injury, going as far as shooting a left-handed free throw during the Cavs’ series-clinching victory over the Bulls on Tuesday night. He’s wearing a sleeve over the joint during games.

“I don’t know, honestly, what’s going on with it,” he told reporters. “I’ve done tests to try and figure this thing out, but it almost feels like you hit your funny bone and it kind of numbs up for a little bit. It bothers me more because I don’t actually know what it is.

“We’ll figure it out. I’ve never had a problem with my elbow before.”

Injured or not, James finished an assist shy of a triple-double Tuesday.
