George Clooney hosted a fundraiser Saturday night at his home in Los Angeles after co-hosting another fundraiser Friday night in San Francisco — both for Hillary Clinton’s Hillary Victory Fund — but he clearly has some misgivings about it. Tickets for the events went for $33,400 a person, which is a lot, as Chuck Todd pointed out when he spoke to Clooney on “Meet the Press.” You know who else thinks it’s a lot? George Clooney. “I think it’s an obscene amount of money,” he said. “We had some protesters last night when we pulled up in San Francisco and they’re right to protest. They’re absolutely right. It is an obscene amount of money. The Sanders campaign, when they talk about it, is absolutely right. It’s ridiculous that we should have this kind of money in politics. I agree completely.” He sure has a funny way of agreeing completely, though.
