That’s right all you McDreamy and McSteamy lovers, the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff is coming, and we tracked down what you need to know about the Station 19 premiere.
In case you’ve been living under a rock and didn’t know the launch of the show was quickly approaching, you can check out our guide to the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff to catch up. For those of you already in the know, we have more specific details you might want.
Station 19 premiere: What to expect
You already know that the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff will center around firefighters in Seattle since they set that up pretty clearly with the crossover of Jason George’s character, but what can you expect from the premiere of Station 19?
The official description for the Station 19 premiere, an episode entitled “Stuck,” makes it clear that — in true Shondaland style — we’re getting thrown right into the action. And we’re not just talking fires. “Events at an apartment fire leave the future of the station’s leadership in jeopardy,” the description teases. So you can expect two kinds of drama when Station 19 season 1 episode 1 bursts onto your small screens: physical and professional.
You didn’t think that was all, though, did you? Because the Station 19 premiere features back-to-back episodes. The second of which, “Invisible to Me,” features a car accident on a rural road that “puts many lives at risk.” And, by the way, there’s going to be a Meredith Grey crossover in one of these two episodes to kick things off. When is the Station 19 premiere?
You can catch the Station 19 premiere on Thursday, March 22 at 9:00 p.m. on ABC. Like the series it comes from, Station 19 will take a primetime spot on ABC’s TGIT lineup. The Station 19 premiere launches the week after How to Get Away with Murder wraps up and will air in the same time slot. Make sure you keep the channel on ABC after the first episode since it will be followed immediately by the second episode of the season.
