The New York Giants interviewed Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier for their head coaching position Saturday morning.

Frazier, 62, interviewed by video conference with team president John Mara, chairman Steve Tisch and new general manager Joe Schoen.

He became the second Bills coordinator to interview in as many days. On Friday, the Giants interviewed offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.

Schoen, whose hiring was announced Friday, came the Giants from Buffalo, where he was assistant general manager and has familiarity with both coaches.

Frazier guided the Bills to the NFL’s top defense in 2021. Buffalo (12-6) overwhelmed the New England Patriots 47-17 last weekend in the AFC wild-card round and will visit the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday in the divisional playoffs.

Frazier was the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings for three-plus seasons, taking over on an interim basis at the end of the 2010 seasons. He had a 21-32-1 record.

He has been the defensive coordinator in Buffalo since 2017 and previously held the same position with the Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Giants are seeking a replacement for Joe Judge, who was fired following the 2021 season. He compiled a 10-23 record.

New York has one playoff appearance since winning the Super Bowl a decade ago.
