Odell Beckham Jr. is back and feeling almost like his old self, something that is welcome news for the New York Giants ahead of Sunday’s game at MetLife Stadium against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Two weeks ago before the Giants went on their bye week, Beckham had five catches for 49 yards in a win in London over the Los Angeles Rams. It wasn’t a bad output but nowhere near his usual, productive self. Now with the benefit of a week off, his injured hip is feeling rested and better.

“I feel good. Somewhere around 85, 90 percent,” Beckham said on Wednesday. “Getting there one day at a time.”

When he is healthy and clicking he is undoubtedly a difference maker for the Giants. In the Giants four wins this year he has 420 receiving yards (compared to 200 yards in their three losses) and is averaging 17.2 yards per catch (13.3 yards per catch in losses).

And against the league’s third-best pass defense in the Eagles, his return to health is certainly timely.

He admits that in the Rams game he wasn’t close to being at full-strength.

“Probably like 65 [percent] to be honest. It was pretty close to a game time decision. They were like, ‘We have eight minutes to turn it in.’ I was warming up. I think I slipped on the second or third route,” Beckham said. “I didn’t know if I was going to make it through the game. Thankfully I did. We got a bye week that came at the right time. Had some time to recover and get worked on pretty much all break. I’m just about 85 [percent]. Almost back to normal so to say.”
