Share the love while experiencing tastes and sounds from around the world this Valentine’s Day and giving hope to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
United for Haiti organizer and host Leanne Kezin started a small fundraiser in hopes of helping quake victims, and has managed to grow the fundraiser to the $10,000 mark.
“We wanted to reach our target, and it may be tough but we’re doing our best. As Canadians we are very lucky where we live not to have these things happen,” Kezin said.
Popular local musicians Tristin Chanel, Alex Hughes and Michael Teclemariam, among others, will perform, and there will also be a variety of ethnic foods, Kezin added.
