Breakup or no breakup, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez just can’t seem to keep away from each other. The “Spring Breakers” star reportedly headed to Norway late last week and arrived just in time to be waiting backstage after Bieber’s Oslo concert, according to Us Weekly. “They have a crazy connection,” a source says. “They just can’t seem to break their connection. It can be intense.” How intense? Bieber was recently spotted clutching his iPhone — which apparently has a recent photo of Gomez as its screensaver.
Harry Styles has some not-too-nice things to say about his time with Taylor Swift in one Direction’s upcoming documentary, “This Is Us,” if the Daily Star Sunday is to be believed. Styles reportedly describes his relationship with the country star “a pain in the arse,” according to the paper. “I haven’t met a girl yet who I’d want to even think of getting serious with,” Styles reportedly says in film footage. “I think I’ve been unlucky in love so far. But the, I haven’t really met anyone who’s made the earth move for me. I’m longing to meet someone who really inspires me and makes me really want to spend time with them.”
Breaking with royal tradition, Kate Middleton will reportedly head back to her folks’ place once her baby is born this summer, according to the Daily Mail. Sources insist Kate “just feels safest and most secure” with her family, particularly mom Carole, who has reportedly been fast at work preparing for their impending guest. “Carole fully intends to be part of this baby’s life and Catherine, for her part, plans to spend a lot of time with her parents, especially while she is waiting for the new apartment [where she and Prince William will reside in Kensington Palace] to be completed,” a source says.
Gay rights media watchdog GLAAD threw a big party this weekend with its annual Media Awards, but not everyone was welcome, particularly author Bret Easton Ellis. “As a gay man in a domestic partnership who plans to get married, I’m sad to hear I’ve been banned by GLAAD from attending [this year’s] event. GLAAD is supposedly ‘furious’ about my tweets,” he posted to Twitter Friday. “After GLAAD banned me, they told the friend who was brining me to the event to warn me not to go public or tweet about this decision.” Well, that clearly didn’t work. Ellis has run afoul of the organization in the past with some of this more attention-grabbing remarks online, including saying watching the TV series “Glee” is like “stepping into a puddle of HIV.”
Joel McHale has read the speculation about his sexuality — and he’s fine with it. “I see that on Twitter every day. It’s flattering,” the married father of two tells the Advocate. “I always find it really weird when guys flip out over someone thinking they might be gay. If a guy gets offended by that, there’s something wrong with him. I take it as a compliment.”
