An 80-year-old grandmother died after she was involved in a car accident with a school bus.
The car accident happened on Wednesday afternoon when the elderly woman, identified as Desiree White, drove her minivan into a school bus as she was leaving a parking lot, reports said.
According toWHDH,there were no children on the bus at the time of the accident.
WCVBreported there were two other passengers in White’s car: her 11-year-old granddaughter, and the vehicle’s owner, 79-year-old Ronald White. Both of them were treated for minor injuries.
White was reportedly taken to UMass-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester for treatement, but later died from her serious injuries.
Investigators, according to WCVB, believe White did not see the bus coming because of the glare from the sun.
