Everyone’s got an opinion on Rashad Evans’ upcoming shot at UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones.
But few have a better perspective on the matchup than Gray Maynard, Evans’ former wrestling teammate at Michigan State.
I asked Maynard yesterday how Evans will fare against the unpredictable Jones. His response? It’s in the bag for Evans.
“I think he’s got that one,” said Maynard, whose rematch with lightweight champ Frankie Edgar is next weekend at UFC 136.
“That’s his fight. Bones really hasn’t been hit yet, and I think [Evans] will. He’s going to hit him, and Jon Jones isn’t going to enjoy it, for sure.”
