Forbes just released its Celebrity 100 list, ranking the celebrities who are bringing in the most money. There was a long stretch of time when Oprah came out on top; it seemed she was unstoppable. But there’s a new female in the number one slot: Beyonce.
Beyonce had a busy year bringing home the bacon. On top of dropping an album everyone couldn’t stop talking about, she put on 95 shows, generating a payday of $2.4 million each show. Yes, you read that right. That means her tour alone generated $228 million. But if you know anything about making money in the entertainment industry, you know that the real money comes from endorsements and Beyonce has no shortage of those. Between Pepsi, H&M and her clothing line House of Dereon, she’s secured some pretty big paychecks. After expenses (you know, like paying her huge touring team), Forbes reports that Beyonce made $115 million in 2013.
Jay Z also makes Forbe’s Celebrity 100 list, coming in sixth place for bringing in roughly $60 million. Others in the top 10 include LeBron James, Dr. Dre, Oprah Winfrey and Ellen Degeneres. Some surprises include: Bon Jovi, The Eagles, Sean “Diddy” Combs, author James Patterson and Rush Limbaugh. Click here to see the full list.
