Gunman puts 91-year-old woman in chokehold during Brooklyn robbery: Police

Police have released video of a man they say brutally robbed a 91-year-old woman in Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon.

On March 2 at about 1 p.m. the suspect approached the elderly victim from behind as she entered a location at 555 9th St., placed her in a chokehold and took out a handgun, according to authorities.

After he pushed her inside the lobby of the location, he demanded money and as he was taking her money a 50-year-old man came across them, police said.

The suspect pointed the gun at the man and took his money, according to cops. He then fled the location with about $370.

Police described the suspect as a black man, 40 to 50 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweater, black jacket, black wool cap, black gloves, light colored pants and dark colored shoes.
