Are you ready for Nibiru 2017? Relax, you really have no preparation because nothing is going to happen, a NASA scientist says.
Research scientist David Meade predicted the world will end on Sept. 23 when a brown dwarf planet named Nibiru surrounded by other planets collides with the Earth.
With multiple hurricanes pummeling islands and coasts, North Korea threatening nuclear Armageddon and white supremacists considered “very fine people” by the man in the highest office, it could easily feel like the world is about to end. But NASA senior space scientist David Morrison debunked the theory of Nibiru 2017, basically starting with the fact that Nibiru doesn’t even exist and ending with “get over it.”
Since Sept. 23 is fast approaching, the theory has been getting more attention. Evangelical Christian publication Unsealed posted a video “September 23, 2017: You Need To See This” explaining the proffered prophesy.
And since the Rapture was supposed to happen a few times, Unsealed has clarified on the YouTube post, lest “scoffers” scoff, that it is only a sign and the Rapture “might not happen on this exact day.”
Why is Nibiru expected on Sept. 23, 2017?
Like Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s love of the number four, for Meade, it’s all about 33.
“Jesus lived for 33 years. The name Elohim, which is the name of God to the Jews, was mentioned 33 times [in the Bible],” Meade told The Washington Post. “It’s a very biblically significant, numerologically significant number. I’m talking astronomy. I’m talking the Bible … and merging the two.”
Also, the solar eclipse, which Meade believes is an omen, took place on Aug. 21 —33 days before Sept. 23.

Meade backs up his argument saying the Bible’s Book of Revelation describes Nibiru 2017 bringing storms, fire and other death and destruction.
Revelation describes a woman “clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head” who —while facing off with a seven-headed red dragon —gives birth to a boy who will “rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” The woman then sprouts eagle wings and is swallowed by the earth.
Gary Ray, a writer for Unsealed, previously explained the woman is represented by the constellation Virgo. The planet Jupiter, which will have been inside Virgo (her womb, according to Ray’s interpretation) will move out of Virgo, as though she is giving birth.

If you were looking forward to a Friday night to beat all wild orgies of debauchery, you might want to scale your plans back a bit. Meade concedes the world will not end, but the prophecies of the Bible will reveal themselves on Saturday and lead to the world’s catastrophic end that will take a couple weeks to develop.
“The world is not ending, but the world as we know it is ending,” he said, adding later: “A major part of the world will not be the same the beginning of October.”
Again, Meade’s prediction has been dismissed by scientists at NASA. Also, Ed Stetzer, a professor and executive director of Wheaton College’s Billy Graham Center for Evangelism.
“There’s no such thing as a Christian numerologist,” he told The Post. “You basically got a made-up expert in a made-up field talking about a made-up event.… It sort of justifies that there’s a special secret number codes in the Bible that nobody believes.”
“Whenever someone tells you they have found a secret number code in the Bible, end the conversation,” Stetzer wrote in an article published Friday in Christianity Today. “Everything else he or she says can be discounted.”
“We do believe some odd things,” he said of people of faith. “That Jesus is coming back, that he will set things right in the world, and no one knows the day or the hour.”
Is Nibiru 2017 the Rapture’s rain date?
Doomsday was initially predicted to be in May 2003 then rescheduled to Dec. 21, 2012 when the Mayan calendar ended.
Morrison also reminded viewers of his video, If Nibiru was barreling toward the Earth, we’d see it.
“It would be bright. It would be easily visible to the naked eye. If it were up there, you could see it. All of us could see it. … If Nibiru were real and it were a planet with a substantial mass, then it would already be perturbing the orbits of Mars and Earth. We would see changes in those orbits due to this rogue object coming in to the inner solar system,” Morrison said.
