Eastern Front Theatre announced its 2010-11 lineup yesterday and it has the theme of Plays with Perspective.
The season opens with the world premiere of Fall in Paris, a romantic comedy written and directed by Eastern Front artistic director Scott Burke.
The show — from Nov. 16 through Nov. 28 at Bus Stop Theatre — tells the story of a three people, two of whom are a couple, who are in Paris and dealing with relationship issues. The play stars Nova Scotia actors Jennifer Overton, Kate Lavender and Matt Gorman.
The theatre’s second play is titled Palace of the End and will run March 29 to April 10 at Bus Stop.
The award-winning show features three searing monologues and is described as a play that “will unsettle you with its starting beauty.”
Eastern Front is concluding its season with the 18th annual SuperNova Theatre Festival from May 18 to 29 at Neptune Studio Theatre. The playbill will be announced in March.
“Eastern Front Theatre enjoyed a very successful transition season in 2009-2010,” Burke said in a release. The theatre used to perform its shows out of Dartmouth.
“I’m delighted to report our move to venues on the Halifax peninsula proved popular with our traditional audience and attracted a slew of newcomers.”
