HALIFAX – Police in Halifax say a few residents were threatened with a knife after they attempted to confront a man lurking around a parking lot.
Officers say a resident of an apartment building on Martello Street was informed by a neighbour that a man was seen snooping around vehicles in the underground parking lot.
A police report says after the two confronted the suspect, the man ran toward the exit and was chased by the residents.
Police allege the suspect then turned around, pulled out a knife and fled the area.
Officers say several vehicles in the downtown lot were damaged.
