Kevin Harvick will start on the pole for Sunday’s NASCAR Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular-season finale at Indianapolis Motor Speedway after turning in a top speed of 185.766 mph.

Sunday’s Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard (2 p.m. ET. on NBC, IMS Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) is the final race of the regular season before the playoffs begin.

It’s the fifth time Harvick has earned the No. 1 starting spot this season and 30th time of his career.

Wood Brothers Racing driver Paul Menard starts in second position after logging a 185.724 mph lap.

Clint Bowyer, Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson round out the top five, in that order.
