Skipping the port-a-potty line for a quick pee in the bushes could cost fireworks and Pride Parade revelers a $250 reprimand this weekend, police say.
Vancouver Police say they’ll be stepping up their presence in the West End with huge crowds expected for the last night of fireworks on Saturday and Pride Parade on Sunday.
They’ll be making sure people are safe and will be especially vigilant in ticketing people for public urination, which has been an issue lately, Const. Jana McGuinness said yesterday.
“This behaviour is very offensive,” she said.
“It’s also illegal.”
