Here are all the actors in the Lion King remake cast

The cast for “The Lion King” remake — which nobody asked for, but which will perhaps be very much appreciated — has been announced. A few months ago, news leaked that director Jon Favreau and Disney were courting Beyoncé Knowles to provide the voice of Nala. And now, Bey has confirmed the news through her Facebook page. Here’s everyone who will be joining her for the live-action film, which is coming out in 2019.

Donald Glover
The 34-year-old multihyphenate — and recent Golden Globe winner for his work on “Atlanta” — will provide the voice of Simba, the protagonist who first “can’t wait to be king,” and later struggles to “feel the love tonight.”

James Earl Jones
Jones, 86, will reprise his role as Mufasa, Simba’s father. He originally voiced Mufasa in the 1994 film.

Alfre Woodard
The “Luke Cage” star, 64, will voice Sarabi, Mufasa’s wife and Simba’s mother.

Chiwetel Ejiofor
The British actor, 40, will voice Scar, the film’s main antagonist who is basically responsible for all the drama. He’s a dramatic dude!

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter
The 36-year-old pop superstar and mother of three will provide the vocal stylings for Nala.

John Oliver
The British comedian will voice Zazu, the dignified red-billed hornbill who serves as majordomo to Mufasa, Scar and later Simba.

Seth Rogen
The 35-year-old Canadian-American — most recently responsible for the likes of “Preacher” and “Future Man” — will voice the extremely gaseous warthog, Pumbaa.

Billy Eichner
Eichner, 39, most famous for his work on “Difficult People” and “Billy on the Street” will voice talkative meerkat Timon.

Eric Andre
The 34-year-old star of “The Eric Andre” star will voice Azizi, one of Scar’s hyena minions.

Keegan-Michael Key
Key, most recently of “Friends from College” will provide the voice of Kamari, another one of Scar’s hyena minions.
